Instagram Social Connect

Using my Instagram as an example, you can now leverage your posts and reels within Novel and pair your highest performing Instagram media with a mini-app from our App Store.

Coming soon: the ability to connect to TikTok, and bring your highest performing video content into Novel.

Embedded Video Journeys

Whether you are looking to add interactive video to your website homepage, product pages, or microsite landing pages -- you can now copy a small snippet of embed code from the Share experience to bring the power of video to your own domain. Novel's embed code can be added anywhere HTML is accepted.

Step 1: Upon creating your Journey, click Share and navigate to the Embed Code tab.

Step 2: On your website, create a container to paste the embed code into. The Novel video experience is responsive, and will respond dynamically to any container size. That said, our recommended size is 360px by 640x.

💡 Pro-tip: For an optimal viewer experience, it is recommended that the width does not fall below 320px.

Video Auto-Loop

We've changed the behavior of Novel Video Journeys to auto-loop upon completion. Prior to the update, the media stopped at the commencement of the final scene.

Auto-loop brings attention to the media content throughout the end-to-end viewer experience and drives higher engagement than video in a paused state.

Archive Journey

We've also added the ability to archive old or inactive Video Journeys. From your Novel homepage, you will now find Archive as a new menu option for each Journey. Archiving the Journey will remove it from the homepage and store the Journey within the Archive tab.

Don't worry, if you archive a Journey and want to activate it again, you will have the ability to restore it.
